Our students have appeared in many of the major film and television productions shot throughout
the Greater Philadelphia region and New Jersey. The Philadelphia Acting Studio alumni are also working professionally
in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Canada.

The Philadelphia Acting Studio
Bernard Glincosky is an award-winning actor, SAG-AFTRA member, and the founder of
The Philadelphia Acting Studio. Since 2009, he has helped aspiring actors develop the skills, confidence, and professional mindset needed to pursue careers in film, television, commercials, and streaming productions.
Drawing on more than two decades of professional acting experience and over 300 film, television, commercial, industrial, voice-over, and new media credits, Bernard combines real-world industry experience with a practical, structured teaching approach that helps beginners build a strong foundation while preparing more experienced actors for professional opportunities.
In addition to coaching actors, Bernard works with other founders, owners, presidents, CEO's, executives, attorneys, physicians, real estate professionals, university programs, media professionals, other institutions and companies to strengthen communication, confidence, and performance under pressure. His teaching philosophy is simple: build authentic performance by mastering both the craft of acting and the mindset required for long-term success.

Is this acting class for complete beginners?
Absolutely. Intro Acting Accelerator™ is specifically designed for beginners and those with limited acting experience. No previous training is required. We'll guide you through the fundamentals step by step in a supportive, professional environment.
What if I'm nervous or have stage fright?
Many of our students feel exactly the same way before their first class. The program is designed to help you build confidence gradually through practical exercises, coaching, and encouragement. You'll never be asked to do anything you're not ready for.
What types of acting will I learn?
You'll develop professional acting skills used in Film, Television, Commercials, Streaming Productions, Auditions, and Self-Tapes. While many techniques transfer to theater, this class emphasizes On-Camera Acting for Film, TV, Commercials and Streaming Productions.
How many students are in each class?
We intentionally keep classes small so every student receives individualized coaching, professional feedback, and opportunities to perform.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a notebook, a pen, comfortable clothing, and a willingness to learn. Scripts and additional training materials will be provided throughout the program.
What happens after I complete Intro Acting Accelerator™ ?
Students who demonstrate commitment, consistent attendance, and continued growth may have the opportunity to continue their training in Scene Study, our ongoing intermediate and advanced acting program.
Will this help me get an agent or professional talent manager?
While no acting class can guarantee representation, you'll learn how the industry works, how to prepare professional materials, and how to position yourself for future opportunities. Qualified students may also have opportunities to be seen by respected industry professionals.
Is this only for people who want to become professional actors?
Not at all. Some students pursue professional acting careers, while others take the class to build confidence, improve public speaking, meet creative people, or challenge themselves in a supportive environment.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free street parking is available near The Philadelphia Acting Studio, located at 6757 Greene Street in Philadelphia.
The cross-street to Greene Street is Westview.
What if I miss a class?
Because each week builds upon the previous one, we encourage students to attend every session whenever possible. If an unexpected situation arises, we'll work with you to help you stay on track.
